Community Services and Development

Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) is Australia’s leading breast cancer consumer organisation. We stand with Australians affected by breast cancer to ensure their voices drive meaningful change. As the leading breast cancer consumer organisation, we inform, support, connect and advocate driving a sense of connectedness for our community and better outcomes for them and our healthcare system.

BCNA was born out of a small group of determined women who wanted to make the breast cancer journey better. In 1998, when Lyn Swinburne founded BCNA, her vision was for no one to feel alone through their experience of breast cancer.

Over the past 25 years, we have built a strong and resilient network that brings together over 250,000 individuals. We are led by the lived experience of those who have already been diagnosed and we are driven every day to make the experience better for those who will be diagnosed tomorrow.

We’re growing! As part of our ambitious new strategy, we’re creating exciting opportunities for motivated professionals to join us and help shape the future of BCNA. These roles reflect our commitment to innovation, strengthening our services, and expanding our impact to deliver even greater value to the communities we serve.

Job Description

The Senior Partnership Manager leads BCNA's partnership portfolio as a core driver of income, brand reach and organisational impact. Reporting to the Director of Brand, Engagement and Income, the role is responsible for securing new purpose-aligned partners and growing existing relationships through compelling partner-led initiatives.

The role shapes how BCNA works with the corporate sector and values aligned brands, ensuring partnerships are commercially strong, aligned to BCNA's mission and values and fully integrated across brand, engagement, product and campaigns.

We've just launched a bold new five-year organisational strategy with ambitious growth goals, alongside commencing a major brand transformation that will reshape how BCNA shows up, connects with audiences and leads within the sector. Partnerships are central to this next chapter - not just as a revenue stream, but as a powerful lever for reach, relevance and impact.

As Senior Partnerships Manager, you'll have the opportunity to help define the future of partnerships at BCNA - building new, purpose-aligned relationships, re-imagining partnership models, and leading high profile, partner-led campaigns that make a real difference. You'll be joining at a moment of momentum, with strong executive support, a clear strategic direction, and the mandate to think big about what's possible.

If you're excited by growth, innovation and working at the intersection of brand, income and impact - this is a role where you can genuinely shape the future and see the results of your work play out at scale.

Desired Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will bring a blend of strategic thinking, creativity, and proven experience in partnership development and campaign delivery. You’ll be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, driving innovation, and managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to lead initiatives that deliver measurable impact. Specifically we're looking for someone that bring the following:

  • Demonstrated market research and business development skills, including strong negotiation and influencing ability.
  • Expert product and industry knowledge with the ability to translate client needs into tailored solutions.
  • Creative thinking and a flair for innovation.
  • Experience supporting successful fundraising campaigns and contributing to marketing/media initiatives.
  • Proven ability to engage and support corporate partners in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar fundraising CRM systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of CMS, HTML, and Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills—verbal and written—with the ability to deliver accurate, audience-appropriate content.
  • Project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Financial management experience, including monitoring budgets and income/expenditure.
